Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. This pivotal role will provide the successful candidate with a great opportunity and contribute to the success of the Finance team and the overall business.

The successful Assistant Controller will: 

• Handle accounts payable for suppliers.
• Efficiently process high volumes of invoices and ensure accurate matching to purchase orders.
• Prepare payment runs, including BACS and foreign currency payments.
• Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders on invoice queries.
• Comply with organisational and legal regulations.
• Setup and administer the company wide supplier and subcontractor accounts.
• Add and amend bank account details in accordance with company procedure.

To apply for this role, you should: 

• Be numerate and have a working knowledge of basis bookkeeping principles.
• Be IT literate.
• Be a good communicator and excellent team player.
• Have a working knowledge of VAT rules and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Although formal finance related qualifications are not necessary, team members will be encouraged to develop their knowledge and skill levels wherever possible.
