Holmen Board and Paper is now looking for a driven and structured Risk Governance Controller to join our Finance team.

Located in modern offices in the heart of Norrköping, Holmen Board and Paper’s headquarters house our sales and marketing departments. Here, we help customers optimize their paper choices through communication, business development, market analysis, sales, and customer service. We also manage production and logistics planning from this location. You will be surrounded by knowledgeable and engaged colleagues who are committed to doing a great job and contributing to a greener future.

In total, we are about 60 employees working in beautifully located offices by Strömmen in central Norrköping, just a few minutes' walk from the main train station.

Your future challenge

Would you like a key role in risk management within an international setting? As a Risk Governance Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality credit and sanctions checks and making sure our processes comply with both internal and external regulations.

In this role, you will:

  • Continuously assess and monitor customers' credit status.
  • Coordinate insurance agreements and collaborate with credit insurance brokers and companies.
  • Oversee and adjust credit limits as well as manage credit insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards and participate in internal and external audits.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for credit control and sanctions screening.

You will work closely with colleagues in sales, finance, and business support, as well as external stakeholders such as insurance companies. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this role.

This role can be based either at our office in Norrköping or in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in economics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience in credit insurance, credit risk assessment, and corporate finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a structured way of working.

It is an advantage if you have experience with IT systems for credit control and sanctions screening, as well as knowledge of international regulations in the field.

As a person, you are proactive, self-sufficient, and take initiative. You enjoy improving and developing processes while building strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
