Holmen is investigating the possibility of applying for a permit to build and operate a wind farm, Granliden, about 25 kilometres northwest of Långviksmon in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik. In the map to the right you can see the location of the planned wind farm. There are plans for up to 33 wind turbines with a maximum total height of 250 meters within the project area.
The chosen area largely coincides with an area that the municipality of Örnsköldsvik has identified as suitable for wind power expansion in its comprehensive plan. The northwestern part of the project area is also of national interest for wind power.
