Holmen has applied for a permit to build the Högaliden 2 wind farm in Robertsfors Municipality. Here you will find information about the project.
In December 2023, Holmen submitted a permit application to build and operate a wind farm, Högaliden 2, in Robertsfors Municipality. The planned wind farm is located northeast of Botsmark and southwest of Bygdsiljum and the application means that Holmen is applying for permission to build a maximum of 26 wind turbines with a total height of up to 300 metres. Expected electricity production is 650 GWh per year.
The main part of the project area has been designated as suitable for wind power by the municipality of Robertsfors and is largely of national interest for wind power. The project area consists of a forest landscape dominated by clearcuts, young and middle-aged coniferous forest. There are known conservation values in the form of, among other things, swamp forests and forest key habitats.
