Lightweight, high strength
Reduce packaging weight and cost without sacrificing performance. Ideal for shelf-ready and e-commerce packaging.
Sustainable kraftliner
Made from fresh fibres sourced from sustainably managed forests with the market's lowest carbon footprint.
Approved for food contact
Certified for direct contact with food. Safe, compliant, and trusted by the market.
Print-perfect
Don't compromise on printability. With Holmen Elevate, you get a kraftliner that runs easily through printing presses and delivers quality results.
Stop paying for unnecessary weight. Holmen Elevate gives you more square meters per tonne of paper.
If you’re using a 110 gsm kraftliner today, that weighs 1,100 kg per 10,000 m2. With our new 92 gsm kraftliner, the weight decreases by 16 percent to 920 kg.
In other words, with our new 92 gsm kraftliner, you will get 20 percent more paper per tonne, increasing the total m2 from 9,090 to 10,870 m2.
Corrugated packaging means multiple layers that work together to provide strength, stability and protection. At the same time you have to keep the material light and cost-efficient.
Holmen Elevate takes lightweight kraftliner to the next level. It is especially well-suited for lightweight solutions that require both strength and the level of food safety demanded today.
Holmen Elevate can safely be used in food packaging. It can be in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs.
It’s certified by ISEGA, approved by BfR, Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung, and adheres to (EC) No. 1935/2004. This regulation applies to all food contact materials within the European Union.
The EU’s upcoming Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is driving a shift away from hard-to-recycle plastics.
Holmen Elevate offers a renewable, recyclable and food-approved alternative. It’s ideal for replacing plastic trays, sleeves or laminated solutions in secondary or tertiary packaging.
We are dedicated to changing the market in a sustainable way. This means we take extra care to live up to every promise of quality, reliability and correct deliveries.
Containerboard mill with low carbon footprint
We produce containerboard with an extremely low carbon footprint, thanks to an efficient process. All our paper mills use fossil-free electricity, giving us a competitive advantage that is important for your containerboard components. And by using fresh fibres that provide volume and strength as our raw material, we can reduce the weight of the kraftliner.
Our pulping method and paper machines bring out the best of the fresh fibres. This means we can support the market with more m2 and less CO2. We enable packaging industries – and end users – to reduce their climate footprint while using a renewable material.
Resource-efficient containerboard production
At Holmen Board and Paper we use byproducts from Holmen Group's greatest asset, the forest, to make innovative strong and lightweight kraftliner. Our products, made from fresh fibre from Nordic forests play an important role in the European recovered fibre ecocycle, to keep the cycle running.
Paper Profile is a voluntary environmental product declaration scheme showing emissions and energy use per tonne of paper produced, developed and provided by leading paper producers.
This single-page declaration gives essential information regarding the composition of the product, key environmental parameters, environmental management and wood procurement.
Carbon footprint is defined as the total emissions caused by an individual, event, organisation, or product, expressed as carbon dioxide equivalent.
Holmen calculates the carbon footprint of our graphical paper products according to the ten toes of the framework set up by CEPI.
We operate according to globally recognized standards for forest stewardship and management of environmental, energy and quality aspects.
FSC® – Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC ID FSC-C020071) – is a system for the certification of forestry, supported by several environmental organisations.
PEFC – (PEFC/05-33-134) Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes is an international system for forest certification.
ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 9001 are international standards for environmental management, energy management and quality management.
ISO 45001 is a standard for occupational health and safety management systems.
