Who am I?

I have a degree in human resources and did my work placement in the HR department here at Holmen in Bygdsiljum. I enjoyed it so much, and when I finished my studies, the opportunity came up to work on a year-long digital training project here at the sawmill.

I live in Bygdsiljum with my partner and our three children. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my family. During the winter months, we make many trips to our wonderful slalom slope here in the village, or out on the snowmobile for barbecues and a bit of bobsledding. In spring and summer, we like to hitch up the caravan and enjoy the summer in different locations across Sweden.

My workplace

My job is to actively project manage the work on digital training, taking it from idea to finished courses. The training courses vary greatly – from detailed coverage of a specific task or safety instruction to describing processes here at the sawmill in more general terms.

The courses I’m working to develop are mainly specific to the sawmill here in Bygdsiljum and I report directly to the mill manager.

A working day

I work on the digital training courses together with the department heads or other colleagues, who describe the steps in the task, and then I package all the information I receive into finished digital training courses. Some of the courses are of a more informative nature, while others are specifically instructional, making the job nice and varied. To make the digital training courses interesting to watch, I’m also out in the field a lot, filming and photographing the various steps described, which gives me the opportunity to meet many of my colleagues here at the sawmill.

The most fun part of my job is definitely seeing how everything fits together and meeting so many different colleagues, as I work with all the departments. It adds an incredible amount of enjoyable variety to my work, and I’m constantly learning new things.

Why Holmen?

What I like about Holmen as an employer is the security and stability that the company provides. It also feels great to work for a company that is future-proof and sustainable!

What I value most about working at the sawmill in Bygdsiljum is my lovely colleagues and the easy-going atmosphere. My job brings me into contact with many different colleagues and everyone is really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable!

Conclusion

The time has come to say thank you and goodbye. I’m so pleased that you’ve chosen to read about my work as a training planner.
